The cinematic sound of Memorial Home is created by duo Paul Roux (France) and Jeremy Pinchasi (Belgium). Based out of their studio in Barcelona, the duo are focusing on developing their sound and releasing some promising new material in 2018.
As well as focusing on their own sound, the Barcelona based DJ and production partnership have also founded their own label Rapid Eye Movement; a project that provides a fresh springboard to new cutting edge Techno territories, nurtured by experimental, ambient and cinematic textures, Rapid Eye Movement (or REM) are paving the way to a solid future in the Techno community.
Their labels first release, ‘Archetype‘, [REM001] released October 6th 2017, features three original tracks by co-founder VII Circle and two powerful remixes by rising Belgian talent Farrago and acclaimed Dutch producer Keith Carnal. This inaugural EP is expertly crafted and creates a signature sound, immersing the listener in an ambient ensemble through haunting and climatic melodies and driving percussion. It’s no wonder then, that Berlin record store Hardwax have described the tracks as “deep and dreamy techno mood setters”.
The second release from REM is ‘Somewhere‘, the debut EP from Memorial Home [REM002]. Forthcoming January 2018; this highly anticipated body of music contains 5 total tracks consisting of 3 epic originals and 2 hefty remixes from Techno aficionados Kas:st and AWB and has even reached one of Manchester’s techno music hubs, Eastern Bloc Records.
Throughout their works Roux and Pinchasi create aesthetically pleasing and technically exquisite audio-visual productions and the duo’s ability to create a blend of melodies that combine complexity and clarity entices both music experts and club goers.
With a clear direction for their future they have aligned themselves to be successful in immersing themselves within the Techno scene and there are promising signs on the horizon for this creative partnership.
