Greek born producer Cirkle is rapidly becoming one of the most eagerly anticipated talents to emerge from the Techno scene.

Throughout 2017, he has landed several solid EP’s on international labels, with all of his contributions including his 12” vinyl release on Deep Sea Mining Syndicate receiving a great deal of positive feedback from many of Techno’s biggest names across the globe. This critical acclaim is but an addition to his history of involvement in music having been a producer and DJ for 3-4 years and 10 years respectively.

In recent years Cirkle has graced numerous venues all across his home country of Greece, performing at the likes of Astron Bar, Six D.o.g.s; and has also played at the world renowned Tresor Nightclub in Berlin for the ‘Tresor New Faces’ event series and club night. DJing at events such as Vault 88, and Elektrika, Cirkle has a serious back catalogue of support sets from a myriad of international techno stalwarts, including: SNTS, Abdulla Rashim, Shifted, Kobosil, and more.

Cirkle‘s production style is a sparse sonic mixture of reverberated atmospheric pads, deep thudding kick drums, ostensibly hollow yet packed low end basslines and dynamic high hats that drive with a percussive ticking rhythm – steeped in spacious reverb and crisp distortion – delivering push and pull that forms a dramatically driven pattern that, when held in contrast with the body of the music: forms a delicate balance of physical movement and psychological inwards reflection.

This balance is paramount to Cirkle‘s trademark sound which brings a unique sense of cerebral stimulation within each track without having to forego any compromise in dance floor energy.

His mixes draw a lot of phonic influence from the way he produces music and many similarities can be drawn in comparison throughout a full DJ set – the cavernous depths of atmospheric samples and low end bass elements, the driving power of slightly off-kilter percussive rhythms and the aforementioned mental psychedelia that is infused through his track selections. Cirkle guides his listeners on a journey of hypnotic melodies that are strewn through smooth, fluid-like transitions and paired with a tight and concise control over the spatial elements which creates a continuous driving rhythm.

Along the way, his releases have garnered the attention of a wide array of big name producers; among the list of many, his brand of unique deep, hypnotic and atmospheric techno tracks have received positive acclaim from the likes of: James Ruskin, Cleric, DVS1, Slam, and more. Notable releases include a 12” vinyl EP, “Extra Terrestrial Research”, on Canadian imprint ‘Deep Sea Mining Syndicate‘; and two EP’s on the Dutch record label ‘Float Records‘ – ‘Tension‘ and ‘Shaka‘ – both of which were released during 2017.

Over the next twelve months, Cirkle has several releases in store including: a single on the record label Dyad, a Split EP on Float Records, as well as an EP on his own techno imprint, ‘Vault 88‘, which is set to include a remix by a well acclaimed and established artist. 2018 promises to be a very full and productive year for Cirkle, so make sure you keep your ears to the ground on Cirkle’s movements this year for upcoming collaborations, plus a major release for another big unnamed label.
